MUSIC IS ART FESTIVAL FINDS A HOME AT BUFFALO RIVERWORKS
News that the 15th annual Music is Art Festival would be held at Buffalo Riverworks was welcomed warmly by western New York’s passionate music and generous art community. The new location was the result an effort to ensure the event could be held without interruption by Mother Nature. MiA founder Robby Takac sought out a new venue that could provide protection from the elements as well as capture the spirit of the festival itself. Buffalo Riverworks has a unique indoor/outdoor setting perfect for hosting an event of this nature.
Music is Art Festival attendees will marvel at the ruins of the great GLF grain elevators. What is left of the foundation makes up the imaginative Dunn Tire Beer Garden. The beer garden lies at the foot of the famous GLF “six pack” which can be seen from far and wide due to its bright blue Labatt Blue wrap. Inside of the “six pack” is the Buffalo Riverworks Brewery, which offers tours as well. Just steps away from anywhere you are at Riverworks, one can look out onto the Buffalo River out towards Lake Erie or the historic operating Michigan St. bridge.
