ABOUT THE RIVER WARRIOR CHALLENGE
Buffalo Riverworks is bringing the excitement of American Ninja Warrior to Buffalo’s revitalized waterfront in a competition featuring nationally recognized ninja warriors and obstacle course racers competing against western New Yorkers!
For the first time ever Buffalo Riverworks and the Hybrid Ninja Academy present a mixed-discipline obstacle course that combines elements of Ninja Warrior, Tough Mudder, and Spartan competition to decide the inaugural River Warrior Champion, which comes with a $3,000 grand prize. American Ninja Warrior contestant and owner operator of Hybrid Ninja Academy in Lancaster and Buffalo, Patrick Hall has designed a course that will test the limits of top competitors from all obstacle course disciples. To his knowledge there is no other course in the world that combines all three iconic walls from their respective disciplines: The Ninja Warrior Warped Wall, the mudder Everest wall, and the Spartan wall.
Attendees to the Free Friday River Warrior Meet & Greet will get a sneak peek at the River Warrior Challenge course and an event poster for your your favorite River Warrior competitor to sign. The meet & greet begins at 5:30PM on Friday then from 7PM-10PM Riverworks and Hybrid Ninja Academy will present a unique opportunity for prospective obstacle course racers and fans alike. For $35 you can run the course with American Ninja Warriors giving you training tips and tricks. Participants also receive a t-shirt commemorating the inaugural River Warrior tournament at Buffalo Riverworks. River Warrior tournament shirts will be available to purchase for spectators as well and don’t forget Friday general admission is free.
