Parking Rules
All events are subject to paid parking.Non event parking is free daily.
- If the bridge backs up, do not hesitate to park on Ohio Street or any other nearby street and walk over the Michigan Street bridge.
- Use the loop. Michigan Street, Ganson Street and the Ohio Street bridge complete a full loop. Using it minimizes backup traffic and keeps cars moving during busy events.
- Accessibility. Designated ADA seating is first come, first served. If you need specific accommodations, contact the box office in advance.
- More space is coming. We will have more parking lot space in the very near future as we continue to expand and develop the Buffalo RiverWorks facility.
Driving Directions
The Ganson Street bridge is closed. This route goes around it.
From I-190 South
- Take Exit 6, Elm Street. As you exit the 190, bear left to the ramp.
- Turn right onto Seneca Street.
- Turn right onto Michigan Street.
- Make a left on Empire State Trail. The Ganson Street bridge will be directly in front of you and closed.
- Take Empire State Trail over the Ohio Street bridge and make a right at the light, onto Ganson Street.
- RiverWorks is on the right. Parking is available on site.
From I-90, the Thruway, to Exit 53 and I-190 North
- Take Exit 6, Elm Street. As you exit the 190, bear left to the ramp.
- Turn right onto Seneca Street.
- Turn right onto Michigan Street and go over the bridge.
- Make a left on Ganson Street.
- RiverWorks is on the left. Parking is available on site.
From the south on Route 5
- Take NY-5 East.
- Take the Ohio Street exit toward Ohio Street.
- Turn right to stay on Ohio Street.
- Turn left on Ganson Street.
- RiverWorks is half a mile down on the right. Parking is available on site.
Overnight RV Parking
Buffalo RiverWorks is a Harvest Hosts location. RVs park in the marked area at the far end of the lot, away from the main entrance.

Other Ways To Get Here
Rideshare and drop off
Set your Uber or Lyft destination to 359 Ganson Street and use the main entrance off Ganson Street. On event nights, ask your driver to pick up on Ohio Street instead so you are not waiting in the bridge line.
Walking from downtown
359 Ganson Street is right downtown, steps from hotels, dining and the Buffalo waterfront. Coming from the north side of the river, walk over the Michigan Street bridge.
Biking
The Empire State Trail runs right past the property along the Buffalo River.
Arriving by boat
We have 400 feet of dock on the Buffalo River, first come, first served, no reservations. Docking is $10 per boat and $5 per jet ski until 9:00 PM. After 9:00 PM the overnight rate of $45 applies, water and electric included. Fees are paid on arrival.
