Named for Buffalo’s historic First Ward, The Ward serves up contemporary American cuisine in a rugged, industrial-rustic space of exposed steel, reclaimed wood, and garage-door windows overlooking the river. The Ward takes its name from Buffalo’s First Ward — a neighborhood of grain elevators, dockworkers, and prizefighters. That grit shows up in the room: exposed steel, corrugated metal, reclaimed wood, and string lights under a working ceiling.
